I am having issues with getting my laptop to connect to my smart tv via a wifi network, it see's it on the network, downloaded device driver software etc, tried in the taskbar options in bottom right & it won't connect to it, it shows up under projector in my devices but can't access any options for it other than remove it.

I have tried to do that. but it doesn't seem to work. I can have tried mirror screening and the surface pro screen is displayed on the TV but there is not any movement and nothing happens on the TV screen when I move the mouse over the screen.
