Most often, the "geolocation" of an IP address is based on the business address of the ISP to which that IP address has been assigned. Restarting Geolocation Service did not correct the issue (wrong location despite well known ISP location). This is annoying because time zone is set automatically from location. There should be a way to set the location based on IP address. There should be a way to set the location manually.

@Arnel1, The computer gets the location from your IP address if it is not a mobile device with a GPS. This means if you are using a VPN or an IP Service that is not close to your home, your location can be informed by that IP location rather than your actual one.

Macs and iphones on my wifi network get my location correct as does google maps via a non MS browser. Edge, native MS Maps apps, and any other app that uses location services (like weather and cortona) get my location wrong. If I check for my location on the same PC when connected to a different wifi network, the location is correct.
