  2. windows 10 and steam stop start download issue

    answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-and-steam-stop-start...

The most time they'll download non-stop is about thirty seconds. enough for me to get about half a gig downloaded. The guy in the other comment has a SMALL fix. it's to queue the download, when it stops, click play and let it finish downloading. It sucks. I've tried all day to fix it. It didn't used to be like this, even on windows 10.

With Windows 10 I am getting 400KB/s max. At one point after restarting steam, the download went all the way up to 1024KB/S, but only for about 5 seconds until returning back to around 345KB/s. I read a similar problem somewhere where McAfee was causing slow Steam download speeds, and after uninstalling it the speeds returned to normal.

Open the Settings App Go to Update and Security - Activation In the Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section, select Go to the Store.

We can analyze the DMP files if you make them available from the OneDrive or other file sharing sites (such as MediaFire). If you have problems uploading the minidumps copy them to the Desktop or the Documents folder and upload them from there.

My Steam download of a game still starts and stops, however I will say it starts more often and gets more downloaded than it did. However, it will still take 7+ hours for a larger game to download. I've seen that this is still quite a common issue and that any given Windows 10 update could cause this. I have had Windows 10 since I got my PC in ...

After disabling Secure Boot, boot normally into Windows and check if you can install the programs. If you're successful, boot back into the UEFI/BIOS and re-enable Secure Boot since this is an important security feature. See if you can then download Steam and your games.
