It's the leftmost of the two prongs for the left ear bud that charge the earpiece when placed in the case. It gets stuck down. Take a needle nose pliers and gently pull it up. Add a drop of oil to help it bounce back in the future. I've had the QC35 earbuds for 4 months and about 2 days ago the left earbud started blinking red & white.
Are all the pins in the case that charge it at the same length? I've had the charging pins (that touch the earbuds) inside the case get jammed in the sound sport free case. I could see which one because it was a lower height than the rest. Get a toothpick or something else small and don't try to bend the pin.
I've noticed one weird thing however - left earbud's LED keeps blinking white even when my Bose Music app shows 100% charge. I've tried to leave it charging in the case overnight, tried to do full reset (keep button pressed for 30 sec) - nothing helps. Software version is the latest available.
The hissing problem happened to my qc wired earbuds too. I got them replaced like 3 times until I bought the wireless pair and. Bose is first in the game for noise cancelling headphones but after all those years they are going back to zero. The poor repeated design, the short battery, connection issues. Too tired to even make a long complain.
In my experience though with 3 faulty sets of Bose Quietcomfort earbuds is that if it’s flashing red and white that means it’s dead and has to go back to Bose or in my case I had a really good bricks and mortar retailer that would just swap them for a new pair on the spot.

I love Bose and I love the sound but a few months ago I had a pair of Bose quiet comfort 35 II’s, (not the same product but it’s relevant), and the red light came on and would never go off. Fully charged, reset, anything, red light stayed on.
Make sure both earbuds are in the charging case.
