Perhaps (1) 12Q and (2) 2.8. Thus, more shell capacity in almost the same space. I like to angle mine to match the angle of my wrist *for that position*, numbering each caddy I have so it goes back in the same spot on the belt and thus set up for that natural wrist angle.

For old geezers like me who struggle to change out recoil springs in the Dawson Tool-Less Guide here's a tip! Had a lightbulb go off while struggling to install a heavier spring for my STI Edge. If you really want to grasp for a reason to pick one over the other, decide whether you value retention or smooth shell release more. If you want to spend less, Taccom caddies are perfectly serviceable, and won't hold you back by any means... though it's a tad harder to yank 4 shells out of them while maintaining good alignment for a quad load.

The shell holders on the Partner are the same (as I recall) as on the Rockchucker - you slide them in and out of the top of the ram, there is a clip spring to hold tension on it. The slot is on the "front" of the ram above the primer arm.

Two options, but neither involve loading withing pushing the button on the shell carrier": The EasyLoader from Dave's Metal Works is popular and gives you a much larger target to hit when loading the gun. The other option is the shell carrier from the 1100 CompetitionMaster.

The 1100 locks open on every shot -- otherwise it would outrun the magazine's ability to feed a new shell onto the carrier.... The impact from the shell trips the bolt release, allowing the action to close. Another cause could be a weak mag spring, limp shouldering may also contribute....

While the new FN is still hung up at Briley getting the gremlins worked out,(see my other thread) I am back to using my old faithful 1100 for three gun. This weekend it let me down a bit in a match for the first time. The bolt stopped locking back on an empty chamber. Any ideas on what would caus...
