    15475 posts · Joined 2001. #2 · Jan 18, 2003. i'm not sure but i think the 3 spd is roughly 3.2:1 and the domestic 4 spd is 4:1. i can look it up in one of my service manuals if nobody else replies. both transmissions are pretty much no good for rock crawling, but they do hold up well and the 4spd is not a bad trans for a daily driver.

    The gear hobbing machine that came from STaK is a pretty cool machine for its time, but not as speedy as newer machines. The same applies to the internal spline cutter. It seems to me that if you can ship a TC off the floor next day with the desired spline counts and yokes you will have a big advantage over the Atlas with its 8-week waiting period.
