Ari Michael Shapiro [1] (born September 30, 1978) is an American radio journalist. In September 2015, Shapiro became one of four rotating hosts on National Public Radio 's flagship drive-time program All Things Considered. He previously served as White House correspondent and international correspondent based in London for NPR.
Shapiro was born on March 29, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Mark and Lillian Shapiro. He grew up in neighboring Cheltenham Township and graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1960. [ 1] Shapiro then attended Haverford College [ 2] and graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1967. [ 3]
Academic career. Shapiro is a speaker, author and tenured professor at Santa Clara University's graduate department of Counseling Psychology. [1] Shapiro is also faculty at the Esalen Institute, and adjunct faculty at Andrew Weil's Program of Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Medical Center (2000-2004). [1]
