Does the ANIME get bad: Yes, yes it does. Art becomes much less detailed, colors get washed out, pacing becomes a slog, constant unnecessary recaps that take like 5 minutes an episode, it's just painful. don't listen to the blind fanboyism. YES, a 1000% YES it gets infinitely worse after the time skip.
Angel_0505. • 3 yr. ago. The only thing I miss about pre time skip is the crew interactions being more constant and the humor. Personally from the manga it’s felt like there’s a lot less of that. I like the story flow post time skip better though. The pacing also felt better pre time skip but the animation better post. 1.

Pre time skip, largely because it covered a ton of material in fewer chapters. The pace was excellent. Post time skip, Oda gets lost in minor details and side characters, and sometimes can't seem to decide which path to take the story. So overall it feels like less has happened in post time skip despite having similar chapter length.
