    1. identify which calendar has the unwanted event (I repeat, in my case, it was the Outloock.com calendar). 2. unlink the iOS calendar, in Setteings>Calendar>Accounts>Hotmail = uncheck calendar and refresh. 3. on a computer, go to outloock.com and open the calendar section, drop down all and locate the one that was linking to the unwanted event.

You should be able to swipe downwards to display the Notification Center since you have the banners set as persistent and you should see them as long as you have not looked at the actual notification.     Calendar invite that won't go away. I received a calendar invite that showed up in my email and the calendar inbox. Every time I accept or decline the invite on my phone or computer, it will come back as a new invite in a few seconds. I can't get it to go away no matter what I seem to do. I just want to have my calendar inbox empty.

  11. turn it off (sleep mode by just clicking the power button once) turn it horizontal. click it on. touch the screen with one finger and hold for about 5 seconds. should turn on the red display if low light. Does go away when operating phone notmally. (2) IdrisSeabright.
