It has become naturalized as a nearly cosmopolitan weed. [3] The whitish flowers are sweetly scented. It is a hybrid between N. entrerianum and N. gracile.
Because of this, it is also called the Honeybell in the gift fruit trade, one of the most popular varieties. Honeybell is sometimes used as unofficial shorthand for premium cultivation.
