This table lists the 336 incorporated places in the United States, excluding the U.S. territories, with a population of at least 100,000 as of July 1, 2023, as estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau. Five states have no cities with populations exceeding 100,000. They are: Delaware, Maine, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming .
The three largest towns are Charlotte Amalie (10,354), Christiansted (2,433) and Frederiksted (859). Note 4: Though Maryland has a number of incorporated places, many major population centers, usually suburbs in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, are census-designated places.
This list ranks the top 150 U.S. cities (incorporated places) by 2023 land area.
